IGX Olympic Plates feature patented opposing grips, so they're safer and more comfortable to use than plates with other grip configurations. Lifting and carrying a plate with opposing grips enables the palms and wrists to face each other, distributing weight almost entirely to the bicep. And since the bicep is biomechanically well situated to lift and hold heavy objects, this is an ideal method of lifting. 
IGX Olympic plates are available in imported urethane. Imported urethane, American-made urethane... What’s the difference? Plates are available in 2.5 lb., 5 lb., 10 lb., 25 lb., 35 lb., 45 lb. and 100 lb. sizes, with kilogram equivalent weight markings on all sizes. Urethane plates also available for the international market in exact kilogram increments of 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 kg.
